Full Of Hands
The phrase "Full of Hands" is one of many phrases my Differently Wired child has used. We know what he means, but we have NO IDEA why he says it this way, and continues to despite corrections.
He's actually managed to train the rest of us to say it.
My 10 year old son, Eli, has multiple learning disabilities, ADHD, and a genetic deletion which likely (but no guarantee) is the underlying cause of it. It's a long story that I've told extensively on my personal blog. The main post can be found here: Differently Wired Life There was also an update as problems during this school year escalated in doing school the way we were: Differently Wired Update.
Long story short- for the last month and a half I have been researching my booty off. Home school vs. private school options. Gardiner scholarship requirements. The nuances of everything. And today it's official....we have withdrawn from Osceola Virtual School and are now students of Florida Unschoolers.

Some may question my motives. Others will question my sanity. They just don't realize I lost my sanity a long time ago and just need my child to succeed. So this blog is going to be a living portfolio, a place for wins and losses, a place for other to see that you don't have to do things the way they've always been done. Especially when your child doesn't fit the mold.
Our first activity today was changing our board. This board has been a high stress in our home that had constant negotiations and trying to fit everything in with as few fights as possible.
